What Do Rails Do in PIGSHOT?

PIGSHOT rails help you move around the arena, making them worth learning when you need a weapon or a route back to your team. Movement matters because each match goes to the side that wins three rounds. Plan where you want to end up before taking a route into a fight.

Rails are part of a movement system that also includes a grappling hook, double jumps, flips, and slides. Build your route around an immediate objective: reaching a weapon crate, joining a teammate, or getting away from an armed opponent.

Start by learning the layout of the map you’re playing. Map voting takes you between settings such as castles, desert ruins, and shipping docks, so look for useful connections between travel routes and fighting areas.

Combine Rails With Your Other Movement Options

Give each movement tool a purpose instead of pressing every button during a scramble.

• Head toward a weapon crate when you’re unarmed. Avoid chasing an opponent who already has a gun.
• Look for your next weapon before spending your remaining ammunition. Keep a destination in mind if your current gun runs dry.
• Regroup in 3v3 matches. Use your movement options to reach teammates who need help.
• Watch your landing and footing. Take care around arena edges while tracking an opponent.

When a crate drops near the enemy team, look for another pickup opportunity before rushing into their guns. Reach the fight with a weapon and teammates within reach.
