How to Use the Grappling Hook in PIGSHOT
The PIGSHOT grappling hook lets you swing across the arena instead of fighting every battle from the ground. That movement matters when an opponent has a shotgun and you need space, or when you need to reach another weapon. Before you swing, choose where you want to end up.
PIGSHOT combines guns with grappling, double jumps, flips, and slides in quick matches where reaching three round wins takes the match. Use the hook with a specific goal: reach a weapon, move away from an unfavorable fight, or approach from another direction.
Start with short, deliberate routes. Practice moving between recognizable parts of the arena, then work those routes into combat. Keep your destination inside the playable area; flying past a platform can turn an escape into a lost round.

Grapple Toward Weapons and Away From Pressure
Weapon crates matter throughout a fight. You can enter a round without a gun, and running out of ammunition can leave you searching for another weapon while opponents keep firing.

The weapon pool includes shotguns, revolvers, a grenade launcher, a mini gun, and a rocket crossbow. A crate can also give you a shield, so opening one does not always put a firearm in your hands.
Build your movement around that problem:
- Find a weapon before chasing an opponent. Use your route to reach a crate rather than following an armed enemy around the arena.
- Check the destination before committing. Avoid heading straight toward a crate an opponent is already contesting when another route is available.
- Create distance from shotguns. Grapple away from close encounters instead of trying to collect a weapon beside the enemy.
- Reposition when ammunition runs out. Head toward another weapon rather than continuing a fight with nothing to shoot.
Against an opponent carrying a shotgun, prioritize separation. When you already have a usable gun, choose a destination that gives you room to fight instead of swinging directly into close range.
Combine Swings With Double Jumps and Slides
Grappling is one part of the movement system. Double jumping, flipping, and sliding give you other ways to move around the map.
On PC, Space is the jump input, C triggers a slide, and the left mouse button fires your gun. Practice switching between those movement inputs and shooting before adding a swing to the sequence.
Practice each action separately before trying to string everything together. Then choose a short route and work on moving through it without losing track of your opponent or the next weapon crate.
Give each attempt a clear purpose:
- Use a swing to change your position across the arena.
- Practice double jumps around platforms before attempting routes near an edge.
- Work slides into ground movement between fights.
- Keep your camera focused on where you are going rather than turning every escape into a trick.
Leave complicated aerial moves for practice until you can reliably reach your destination.
Plan Routes for the Map and Your Team
Map voting sends fights through castles, desert ruins, shipping docks, and other arenas. Learn a few useful routes on each map instead of expecting the same movement pattern to work everywhere.
Identify weapon crates, solid landing areas, and edges you need to avoid. Practice routes between those landmarks so you have somewhere specific to go when a fight turns against you.
PIGSHOT supports 1v1 duels alongside 2v2 and 3v3 team matches. Choose a team format when you want to queue with friends.
In team matches, coordinate your destination before moving. Avoid crowding teammates around weapons or blocking their firing lanes. If you need another gun, call it out and head toward a crate while leaving room for an armed teammate to keep fighting.
