PIGSHOT Beginner Guide: Win Rounds and Master Movement

Start With the Tutorial and Round Rules

Getting caught without a gun makes PIGSHOT’s opening scramble especially dangerous. This PIGSHOT beginner guide walks you through finding weapons, controlling your movement, and helping your team survive. Learn those habits early so you can spend more time fighting and less time searching for a crate under fire.

1. Finish the tutorial before joining friends.

Start with the tutorial in PIGSHOT on Roblox. Completing it unlocks the lobby menus, including the shop.

On PC, use Space to jump, C to slide, and the left mouse button to shoot. Practice those actions before worrying about flashy movement. The game also includes double jumps, flips, and a grappling hook; follow the tutorial prompts to learn their controls.

2. Play for three round wins.

Matches go to the first player or team to win 3 rounds. You can play individual duels or team matches, including 2v2 and 3v3.

Use a 1v1 to practice tracking one opponent, or join friends for team fights. After losing a round, adjust one specific decision: where you searched for a weapon, when you approached, or how you escaped.

Find a Weapon Before Committing to Combat

3. Make a nearby crate your opening objective.

Rounds can begin with you searching for a gun. Weapon crates are therefore an immediate priority, especially when an opponent already has something to shoot.

Look for a reachable crate before running toward an enemy. If another player gets there first, move toward another pickup instead of lingering beside an armed opponent.

Opening a crate also does not guarantee that you will collect its weapon before someone else. Pay attention to nearby enemies while grabbing the drop.

4. Adapt your approach to the weapon you receive.

The weapon pool includes shotguns, revolvers, bows, machine guns, and explosive options such as the rocket crossbow and grenade launcher.

With a shotgun, use cover to approach before committing to a close shot. Against an opponent carrying one, keep your distance rather than following them into a cramped encounter. For a bow that charges its shot, give yourself room to prepare the attack.

Avoid chasing a particular weapon while an enemy is already closing in. Take the available gun and reposition before searching for another.

5. Watch your ammunition before chasing a kill.

Weapons can run out of ammunition, leaving you searching for a replacement during the fight.

Check your remaining shots before pursuing a fleeing opponent. If your gun runs dry, break away toward another crate. Continuing to chase while unable to fire gives the opponent time to turn around and punish you.

Use Movement Without Losing Control

6. Practice escaping before attempting elaborate attacks.

Grappling, double jumping, flipping, and sliding give you several ways to move through an arena. Start by using them to reach a weapon or leave a dangerous position.

Practice a short route between solid platforms before trying to aim through a complicated aerial maneuver. Keep your landing area in view near map edges; falling off can end an otherwise winnable fight.

During map voting, choose a familiar arena when you want to work on combat rather than navigation. Maps include castles, desert ruins, and shipping docks.

7. Give teammates room to fight.

In team matches, players can obstruct one another. Avoid standing directly in front of a teammate who is shooting or crowding the same narrow route.

Spread out enough to leave clear firing lanes while staying close enough to help. If a teammate already has a weapon and you do not, prioritize getting armed rather than rushing into the same fight empty-handed.

Use simple callouts such as “I need a gun,” “shotgun nearby,” or “enemy on the right.” These tell teammates what action would help.

Earn Coins and Handle Lobby Rewards

8. Use matches and daily tasks to build your coin supply.

You earn coins from matches, and daily tasks provide additional rewards. Look through the tasks between matches and work toward their objectives while learning the arenas.

The shop includes clothing and accessories such as shirts, pants, hats, and crowns. Browse those options before spending so you can choose the look you want.

Keep your early practice focused on reaching crates, conserving shots, and controlling your landings. Those are decisions you can work on every round, regardless of which outfit your pig wears.
