What Does the Grenade Launcher Do?
The PIGSHOT grenade launcher deals impact damage, giving you a direct-hit threat in a game full of airborne, sliding pigs. Those hits matter when every round moves you closer to the three wins needed to take the match. Aim at the opponent itself when you get a clear shot.
Keep the grenade launcher and the rocket crossbow separate when identifying weapons. Both appear in PIGSHOT, but they are distinct weapons; the launcher's impact damage is the detail to build your aim around.
Resist firing just because an enemy crosses your screen. Track their movement, then take the shot when you can line up a direct hit. Against an opponent who keeps jumping, follow the pig rather than repeatedly shooting at the spot they just left.
The round-based format includes 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 matches. In a duel, your attention stays on one opponent; team matches add other armed pigs to track. Call out the enemy carrying the launcher so your teammates know which opponent has it, especially while someone on your side is still searching for a gun.
PIGSHOT supports up to 20 players per server, while individual fights use those smaller match formats. The objective remains winning rounds until your side reaches three, rather than chasing a server-wide elimination total.

Get Armed Before Committing to a Fight
Weapon crates are part of the scramble during rounds. You can end up searching for a gun while an opponent already has one, so locate a pickup before chasing a fight.

Opening a crate also doesn't guarantee that you'll collect its weapon. An opponent can grab the dropped gun.
- Secure the pickup: Stay focused on collecting the weapon after opening its crate.
- Watch your ammunition: Look for another crate if you run dry.
- Work with your teammate: In team matches, communicate when you're still looking for a weapon.
Avoid building your entire round around finding one particular gun. Pick up an available weapon and get into a position where you can fight back.
New crates drop into the arena during play, and some land near the opposing team. Watch the landing location before running toward a fresh drop. If an armed enemy is already beside it, look for another pickup rather than charging straight into their weapon to reach the box.
The weapon pool also includes shotguns, revolvers, and miniguns. Crate openings can leave you handling different weapons across rounds, so identify what you collected before attacking. On PC, left-click fires your weapon.
Reloading and running out of ammunition both feature in combat. Check your remaining ammo before committing to another exchange, and keep track of nearby drops while fighting. A gun that has exhausted its ammunition sends you back into the search for a replacement.
Use Movement Between Shots
PIGSHOT gives you several ways to move around its arenas. Keep these options in mind when carrying the launcher or facing someone who has it.
| Movement option | Available action |
|---|---|
| Grappling hook | Swing across the map |
| Double jump | Jump again while airborne |
| Slide | Slide around the map |
Use the grappling hook to reposition instead of standing still while tracking an opponent. Mix slides and double jumps into your movement, and keep watching where the enemy goes.
Against another launcher user, change your position between attacks. Since direct impacts deal damage, keep moving while you line up your return shot.
For PC movement, Space jumps and C slides. Practice those inputs alongside left-click shooting during the tutorial before joining a match. PIGSHOT also includes flips, giving its pig battles more movement options than simply running toward the next crate.
Map voting takes you across settings that include castles, desert ruins, and shipping docks. After loading into the chosen arena, locate the weapon drops and look for somewhere to grapple before pursuing an opponent. Keep your route within the playable arena: falling off the map can end your round, including when a missed attack carries you over the edge.
